Paula serves on our staff as Practice Manager and is proud to be a part of a team that offers unsurpassed excellence in Periodontics. She is a member of the American Association of Office Managers and has over 20 years of dental experience. Additionally, Paula attends annual training/continuing education classes so she can stay abreast of the latest developments in Periodontics and practice management. Her responsibilities include training, marketing, financials, and her favorite: patient care.
Our patients find her vivacious approach to problem solving refreshing, and they know that if they need anything, she will bend over backwards to provide the best service. Paula understands that our referring doctors and their team members put their trust in our office to give their patients outstanding care. She takes pride in knowing that our team strives every day to give each patient exceptional Periodontic care in a warm and friendly environment.

Rhonda is certified by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners as a Texas Registered Dental Hygienist. She has thirty (30) years of periodontal hygiene experience and is an active member of the American Dental Hygienist Association. She has served in the Association as an Arizona state officer and as a national officer. She serves on our staff as our practice hygienist.
Our patients find Rhonda’s knowledge, experience and communication invaluable in their oral healthcare maintenance. Her exemplary skill of hands and “always sunny” personality often elicit patient expressions of compliment such as “best hygiene maintenance I’ve ever had”.

Ashley is certified by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners as a Texas Registered Dental Assistant. She has Eight (8) years of dental experience and serves as our Lead Surgical Assistant.
Ashley’s extraordinary assisting attributes are second only to her passion for dentistry. She has the unique ability of relating to each patient in the most personable, informative, and caring manner, making their appointment experience as stress free and comfortable as possible.
Ashley grew up in Rowlett, Texas. She enjoys activities such as boating, traveling, and spending as much time as she can with her family and friends.
The newest member of our family is Iris, who is a Registered Dental Assistant with over four years of experience in the dental field. As part of our clinical team, she assists Dr. Cueva with exams, surgery, and follow-up appointments. Our patients say that Iris has a kind demeanor with a calm voice that puts them immediately at ease. Iris is also bi-lingual and is very helpful with our Spanish speaking patients.
When Iris isn’t directly assisting with patient care, she helps the front office staff with insurance claims and answers the phones to assist with appointments.
Iris is a busy wife and mom who enjoys’ spending quality time with her family. She’s also a gourmet baker, who loves to collect kitchen gadgets and cookbooks.

Dave serves on our staff as Manager of the Business Office. He is retired from ownership of a commercial construction firm.
Dave and Dr. Cueva met on a mission trip to the Amazon River in 2004. From this experience serving God in a unique way and in a unique setting, they became best of friends. Although retired from his life long profession, Dave more than adequately runs the business affairs of our practice. Together with Dr. Cueva, he is an integral part of the standard of excellence of our periodontal oral healthcare delivery.
Suni (pronounced Sunny) is our Patient Coordinator and brings 14 years of dental experience to our office. As Patient Coordinator she will most likely be the first person you speak with when you call. She will schedule your appointments, verify your insurance benefits, coordinate visits with your general dentist and answer most questions regarding your account. Suni believes in providing the best in patient care and exceptional customer service. Many of our patients comment that she is exactly what her name implies!
Suni has an MBA from Oklahoma City University and a BS degree from the University of Maryland. She has taken an early retirement from the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Although Suni is an Okie, she loves her new home in Texas and her new family of staff and patients at Periodontic Excellence.
